How this tool works
Dates are converted to UTC calendar days before subtraction. Inclusive counting adds one to the elapsed-day count.
Example
January 1 to January 3 is two elapsed days, or three inclusive calendar days.
What this tool does not include
This counts calendar dates rather than local clock hours. For example, daylight-saving changes do not add or remove a calendar day. Inclusive mode counts both dates.
Frequently asked questions
What does inclusive mean?
It counts both the start and end date.
Does DST change the answer?
No. This uses calendar dates, not local midnight hour intervals.
Can I enter dates in reverse?
Yes. The result uses the absolute difference.
